Garry Point Park Walker's Heaven

Hey guys nice meeting you today! Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog.

I just want to feature to you guys a tourist spot near us. It is about 8 mins drive from our home. I live in Richmond, BC, Canada. And I like our place because part of the name is "Rich" - mond, while others say it's lovely because the people here are rich! Well not all. This is the region closest to the Vancouver airport YVR and the parking spot here is free of charge unlike in Vancouver downtown where all of the parking spots are expensive. Let's not mention the food. Just imagine that it is a mixture of Caucasian culture kissed with the oriental mouth watering flavors. It is one of the best in the world!

Yes, there are many rich people here because this is probably the place where many Chinese businessmen from Hong Kong live. They like most especially the Terranova or the Steveston area near the coastline of the Fraser River.

There are many tourist spots here in Richmond. Anyway, what I want to highlight to you is the Garry point park. Garry Point Park is huge waterfront park, situated at the southwest tip of Richmond, near the memorable Steveston Village. The recreation center gives stupendous vistas across the Salish Sea and past to Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Garry Point Park is considered by numerous individuals to be perhaps the best spot to watch a dusk in Richmond.

The novel rolling and open scene Garry Point Park incorporates the Kuno Garden, a Japanese style remembrance garden, stranded logs and sea shore access, sweeping open regions for picnicking and kite flying and power kiting or kite bugyying, interpretive signage and the Fisherman's Memorial Needle on the south side of the recreation center. Extra legacy perspectives in the recreation center incorporate a legacy moorage office with structures and docks at notable Scotch Pond situated on the north side of the recreation center.

Two snack bars run occasionally at the fundamental passageway of the recreation center, alongside washroom and dog watering station.

Here are a some of the lovely activities at along side Garry Point Park:

  • Decent spot to walk, outing and loosening up time
  • Go fly a kite
